Sacramento Waldorf School's annual auction, Around the World in 80 Days - Steampunk Edition, will be held on April 1 (no foolin'), 5-11pm. This year's event will be located at the exciting new Milagro Centre in Carmichael, just minutes away from school.

Come, be transported around the world in Steampunk fashion and experience cuisine from many regions around the globe. 

What is Steampunk? It is a mix of modern styles influenced by Victorian, Post-apocalyptic, and Goth fashion. There are no set guidelines, come dressy or casual. This may include bustles, corsets, gowns, and petticoats; suits with waistcoats, coats, top hats, tailcoats, and spats; or military-inspired garments. Steampunk-influenced outfits are usually accented with several technological and "period" accessories: timepieces, parasols, flying/driving goggles, and ray guns. Modern accessories like cell phones or music players accessorize steampunk outfits, after being modified to give them the appearance of Victorian-made objects.
