Each year, as a part of Sacramento Waldorf School’s annual auction fundraiser, we call for support of a "need" or "item" that will benefit our school and is not otherwise included in our annual budget.
The 2020 Fund-A-Need, as approved by the Board of Trustees, is repaving the primary front parking lot to our school, to repair this heavily used area and upgrade its usability. Repaving will include 36,448 square feet of parking lot. It will begin in front of the school gates, near Bannister Park, include the hill down into the school, the entire main parking area, and extend five feet toward the high school campus and back toward Linden Hall. Improvements will include drainage and irrigation in the subsurface, ADA ramps and accommodations as needed, replacing speed bumps and wheel stops, and re-striping all markings. In addition, the primary storm basin, right in front of our Administration Building, will be replaced and repaired to fix ongoing drainage issues.
This upgrade will take place during summer months in phases and be completed in approximately two weeks. It will be managed by our facilities staff and Building and Grounds Committee.
Total cost of the project has been quoted at $91,724.
